17Oct SDHC to CF adapter, are they any good?
I was looking for a new SDHC card reader this morning after accidentally stepping on my spareĀ and I came across this SDHC to CF card adapter. I have no idea how well something like this would work, but it seems like it could be handy to be able to adapt the same memory across several different cameras. Anyone given one of these a try? I might have to through away $12 to give this a try.

Please try it out and tell me, i was looking to get one of these as SD cards are so cheap but was too scared to invest in one to give it a go.

We have 4 of a very similar model (Amazon item B0029Q9I1U). We’ve had them in a wedding kit for about 1.5 yrs and they’ve been 100% stable so far (probably about 4-6000 frames on each adaptor and dozens of changeovers). as Alan said, they work well, but are only suitable for stills. Too slow for video even with the fastest SD cards inside. I’m sure they’re even slowing down the frame rate on stills when the buffers fill, but we don’t run to the limit of continuous shooting enough to worry.
